The framework provides administrators with wide control
over user’s actions and their operations. The system also includes powerful
mechanisms for business application update using various data exchange protocols,
including over Internet.
Authentication
and the List of Users
The 1C:Enterprise 8 system supports operation of more than 1 user with the
same applied solution at a time. The authentication mechanism allows to detect a
particular user, from the list of approved users (on the left of picture below),
that uses a particular applied solution at the moment.
There two types of authentication supported:
1C:Enterprise authentication
Windows authentication.
Authentication dialog window
When using 1C:Enterprise authentication, the logon window appears upon
starting the application, and a warning window appears if the password is
incorrect.
Logon window and error
message
When using Windows authentication, the system uses windows user information
for the current user, and does not ask him for logon information.
Active Users and
the Event Log
The list of active users represents users currently working with the applied
solution at the moment. The information includes user name, his operation mode
('Designer' or '1C:Enterprise'), start time, his computer name and
a connection
number.
In addition, from the list one can open the event log and see a history for a
particular user, or for all users.
The Lists of Common
Information Bases and Links
There is a possibility in 1C:Enterprise 8 to create lists of shared
information bases and generate links to them.

configuration templates
For existing information bases one can save a reference to them to a file,
which simplifies creation of lists of common information bases.

The Technological Log
This log can be used by administrators to analyze technical problems in the
system operation and reasons of abnormal terminations of the software.
The log is represented as a set of .log files, written in a specified
directory, and can be viewed with any text viewer.
Regional Settings
of Information Bases
This functionality gives control over formats of date, time, numbers and
logical constants in an applied solution.
Regional settings window
For empty properties 1C:Enterprise 8 will use default format accepted in the
operating system for the country selected.
The Business
Application Update Service
Existing updating means in 1C:Enterprise provide industrial support and
updating of integrated solutions without interruption of real work, that is
essential for developers and users of automated accounting and management
systems.
If there were no changes in a business application made by the user, 1C:Enterprise 8 provides completely automatic update. If the user modified the
business application, the framework guarantees that synchronization of these
modifications with any updates provided by the supplier (developer) will be done
safely, preserving the modifications made by the user.
Business application
update is done using standard data transfer protocols (for example, such as HTTP,
over Internet).
Framework Update
In Case of Standard
Installation
It means that the framework was installed as regular software, i.e. at a local PC.
To update the framework one should start the distribution kit setup program.
It will update the existing installation, preserving all user settings and
information bases.
Administrative Installation
Update
If 1C:Enterprise 8 was installed to be used in a local network, an
administrator can update the framework only at one place – at the place of
administrative installation.
Further, at next start of 1C:Enterprise 8 at users' workplaces, users will be
offered to update local systems' installation. The update procedure is performed
automatically.
Note, that in client-server operation mode it is not allowed to use different
versions of a client application and server application, therefore it is
necessary to update both sides.

Administration Utility
The external utility is intended to solving the following tasks:
Creation, modification and removal of server clusters.
Management of the cluster server administrator lists.
Management of users' connections to information bases and service
connections.
Disconnection of users from information bases.
Detection of object locks of 1C:Enterprise 8 and locks of client
connections.
Real-time transaction locks analysis and control.
File Database Repair Utility
The external utility is intended to check integrity and repair a file
database without opening it in the
Designer.
The utility can also be used to check a configuration repository, that is
used for team development in
1C:Enterprise 8.
Other Administration Tools
1C:Performance Control Center
This tool is used for testing and analyzing of information system based on
1C:Enterprise 8. It helps to estimate a system's performance, collect technical
information on existing problems and analyze it for further optimization of the
system.
This tool automates multi-user stress tests for 1C:Enterprise 8-based
systems. Using the tool emulates an enterprise work conditions without
participation of many users, that allows to estimate applicability, performance
and scalability of an information system in real conditions.
